Upchurch Watson White & Max Mediation Group is proud to announce that mediation panel member Sandra C. Upchurch, has won the seat of 7th Circuit Board of Governors representative of The Florida Bar in a close run-off election against Judith Lane.
Both candidates are clearly highly respected and were considered well qualified by their professional colleagues of the 7th circuit. The March 22 vote resulted in a tie with 263 votes each, and Ms. Upchurch secured the board position in the April 22 run-off by only twenty votes. This election generated a strong show of support for both young attorneys.
“Campaigning was such a wonderful opportunity to learn what issues are important to the attorneys in the 7th circuit”, states Ms. Upchurch. “It is now my job to take what I have learned and do something meaningful with it. That is my goal and my commitment.”
She will be sworn in June 25, along with other new and re-elected board members, at the Bar’s Annual Convention in Boca Raton.
