Lawrence M. Watson, Jr., principal with Upchurch Watson White & Max Mediation Group, has recently been requested to fulfill various speaking engagements throughout the nation.
On February 2, 2007 Mr. Watson presented "Keys to Successful Mediation" to the Louisiana State Bar Association (LSBA) in New Orleans . He has also been selected to speak at the Florida Bar Advanced Construction Law Seminar Certification Review Course for 2007, March 2 in Orlando, presenting "Mediating a Complex Construction Dispute."
In addition, Mr. Watson has been invited by The American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Dispute Resolution to join a prestigious panel of speakers at two upcoming events. Recognized for the key role he has played in the adoption of mediation ethics rules, Mr. Watson will co-present seminars which cover ethical issues often faced by mediators and advocates during mediation. On Feb. 23rd in New York, NY he will speak at the ABA's "Goliath vs. Goliath" program, designed to cover issues related to construction mediation, and on April 27th in Washington D.C., he will address attendees of the ABA' s 9th Annual Spring Conference.
