Najla Bubtana has extensive experience litigating a wide variety of civil matters on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants throughout the state of Florida. After over a decade as a trial lawyer, Najla turned her focus and knowledge toward the dispute resolution process and joined Upchurch Watson White & Max’s esteemed panel of neutrals as a mediator. Her practice areas include first- and third-party disputes, including but not limited to personal injury, premises liability, automobile accidents, negligent security, property damage, and breach of contract cases.
Najla’s legal career began with a boutique trial firm in Coral Gables representing plaintiffs in personal injury and maritime disputes both in state and federal courts. She then joined an intellectual property firm representing high-profile brand owners against online counterfeiters in federal court. Thereafter, Najla transitioned her practice to the defense side by joining a large Florida insurance defense firm where she defended businesses and individuals in a broad array of negligence and first-party disputes. Prior to joining UWWM, Najla spent several years working for a national defense firm as trial and appellate counsel for various national and international business clients throughout the state of Florida.
Najla obtained her law degree from the University of Miami School of Law where she graduated with high honors. Prior to that, she earned her undergraduate degree from Newberry College, where she also enjoyed the privilege of being a member and captain of the college’s women’s soccer team.
Recently, as part of her own personal and professional development, Najla returned to UM to obtain her certification as a professional coach, which involved in-depth education and training in communication, powerful inquiry, and the goal-setting process.
Najla prides herself on being detailed, thorough, and creative, in her approach to each matter. Her unique background, experience, and skillset assist her in developing a greater understanding of the people and businesses that come before her, and as a result, all possible avenues that exist to bring them together.
