About

Ed Baxa has significant experience representing owners, general contractors, design professionals, subcontractors, and suppliers in complex commercial litigation with a focus on construction disputes. He was a partner in his firm’s Construction and Litigation Practice Groups, where he regularly handled contract drafting and negotiation, bid protests, workouts, claims litigation and arbitration proceedings. He also has significant experience in negotiating AIA form contracts, and in preparing and negotiating engineering procurement and construction (EPC) contracts for manufacturing facilities.

Ed has advised clients and tried cases involving myriad construction projects, including resort hotels, hospitals, senior living facilities, sports stadiums, public works projects (roads, utility plants, landfills, etc.), shopping centers, residential developments and high-end homes. In addition to his work in the construction industry, Ed has represented clients in litigation involving real estate disputes, covenants not to compete, trade secrets, ERISA, family-owned businesses, agri-business, executive compensation and corporate/partnerships dissolutions.
